"Mobile deposit is wasting my time"
I tried using the mobile check deposit because I figured it would be quick and convenient for me, but it’s been nothing but frustrating. I’m still sitting here waiting for my money to show up, and I don’t really have time to keep checking and wondering when it’ll finally clear.

"SpotMe Works Great, Except When You Actually Need It"
I don’t really understand Chime’s overdraft coverage. They advertise SpotMe like it’s supposed to help you out in a pinch, which sounds great and all, but when I actually needed it, my card still got declined. So that was fun.
It seems random when it works and when it doesn’t. I had direct deposit set up like they ask, but my limit was still so low that it barely made a difference. Apparently doing what they require doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get anything useful.
Customer support wasn’t much help either. They mostly gave me the usual copy-and-paste answers without actually fixing anything. I wouldn’t count on it if you’re expecting reliable overdraft help...

"I don’t feel safe using it anymore"
I just don’t trust it at this point. I checked through my emails and receipts to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, but the whole experience still left me uneasy. It might work fine for other people, but for me, it doesn’t feel safe enough to keep using.
"Refund finally came through, but it felt like I was stuck waiting"
The refund did eventually show up in my Chime Banking account, but it took a few days longer than I was expecting. I kept checking and started feeling kind of trapped, like there wasn’t much I could do besides wait. Support was okay, but they didn’t really give me much clarity or help move things along.

"Notifications are never right for me"
I’m fed up with Chime’s alerts at this point. Half the time I get a low balance notification way after it would’ve actually helped, and other times a purchase alert shows up after I’ve already seen the charge posted in the app.
It makes it really annoying to keep track of bills or know right away if my card was used. And it feels like there’s always some policy loophole where the alerts are treated like a “courtesy” instead of something they’re actually responsible for getting right, even though people rely on them.
I contacted support and just got the usual basic advice like reinstalling the app and checking settings. None of it fixed anything. I shouldn’t have to keep opening the app all day just to make sure the notifications aren’t wrong...

Looking back, I reported the fraud quickly, but I remember getting passed around like nobody really wanted to deal with it. It felt frustrating and careless at the time, that experience is what sticks with me. I don’t feel comfortable trusting chime with my money again

"Sign-up was a bit frustrating"
I tried signing up and the identity check kept failing, even though I was using my actual ID and everything looked correct on my end. Support got back to me, which I appreciated, but they mostly just told me to try again later. Not the worst experience, but definitely a little frustrating to get stuck that early.

"Still waiting on my replacement card"
My card got lost, and trying to get a replacement has been such a hassle. They told me it had been sent out, but weeks went by and nothing ever showed up. Every time I contact support, I just get told to keep waiting. It’s really frustrating not being able to access my own money, and at this point I feel like the least they could do is apologize and give me a real update

"The ATM fees got annoying fast"
I really thought chime was going to make things simple. It kind of didn’t. Trying to find a free ATM near me turned into this whole thing. Some didn’t work. Some wanted to charge me. And then I’m standing there paying a fee just to get my own money out. After a while, it just felt like more hassle than it was worth.

"Transfers take forever"
I’ve had a really frustrating time with Chime transfers. It’ll say the money is coming soon, but then it takes days to actually show up. That’s not exactly helpful when you need access to your own cash quickly. And the canned apology messages don’t make it any better, I’d rather have a real update than the same generic “sorry for the inconvenience” response

"Fees were confusing, and support felt like bots"
I signed up thinking everything would be straightforward, but the fee details were hard to find. A few charges felt like they just popped up after the fact, and maybe I missed some fine print, but it really shouldn’t be that confusing. When I emailed about it, the replies felt like they were coming from robots just copying and pasting answers, not actual people trying to help. I ended up closing the account because I didn’t feel like I could trust what I was being charged for

"Dispute process just isn’t worth the hassle"
I filed a dispute thinking it would actually get reviewed, but it felt like a total waste of time. Support kept giving me the same canned responses over and over, and I never got any real help or progress. For something that should be taken seriously, the whole process was disappointing.

Setting up the savings part was easy enough, so that was good I guess. The round ups are nice and all, but after using it a bit, I was expecting more tools or at least clearer info on what’s going on. It just feels kinda basic to me, especially compared to other apps I’ve tried...

I tried adding cash to my Chime account and, once again, it turned into way more of a hassle than it should’ve been. The store said the deposit went through, but the money didn’t show up for hours. I reached out to support and got the same generic answers as usual, which didn’t help at all. I’m tired of dealing with this kind of thing and don’t trust Chime for cash deposits anymore.

"Direct deposit has gotten frustratingly slow"
My paycheck used to show up early, which was one of the main reasons I liked using this account. Lately though, it’s been hitting late, and this is where it got annoying: when I reached out to support, they basically just told me to wait. That’s not super helpful when bills are due and you’re counting on that money being there.

"My Chime account got put on hold out..."
My Chime account got put on hold out of nowhere, like right when I was trying to pay for groceries and dog food on a Tuesday afternoon. I sent in the documents they asked for quickly, but I still couldn’t access my own money for days, which was a really awful feeling.
After all that, they ended up closing my account anyway and the replies I got felt like the same copy-and-paste message over and over. Support just kept telling me to wait, while I’m sitting there checking my phone every hour like that was going to help. It was stressful, frustrating, and I don’t see myself trusting Chime again...

"Chime app keeps freezing on me"
I don’t know what chime changed lately, but the app has been a mess for me. Every time I try to log in, it either freezes or just sits there loading forever before I can even see my balance.
It’s frustrating because this feels like something chime should have fixed by now. I got kicked out for no reason and had to restart my phone twice just to check one transaction, which is the last thing I want to deal with when it comes to my money.
